Snowcrash Digital is active in emerging internet technologies, offering a wide range of consultancy and development services for virtual reality environments like Second Life and other online social media.
As well as our consultancy and development services for Second Life, Snowcrash Digital also develops a range of out-of-the-box ready-to-go applications. Our main focus here is on creating enabling tools, ranging from education and presentation devices through special effects to publishing devices.
Several of our products in this range are a cross-over between the “real world” and the “virtual world”, allowing people to publish to both instances at the same time.

There are 10 types of people on the world; those who understand binary and those who don’t. Jim’s one of the first type; as our technical director Jim brings decades of experience and knowledge in security, stability and scalability to the team, earning his geeky spurs as an application developer for financial institutions. Jim knows his way around lots of server and browser based technologies and can make a website do pretty much anything you’d like (except persuade a teenager to tidy his room). He’s also a whizz with LSL, making SL objects do clever things. Jim’s one of those few techies that doesn’t just talk in bits and bytes; one of his greatest skills is to talk human language when talking about what a customer would like in his application. He tends to hook Second Life to the web whenever he gets the chance – much to the frustration of his wife: “Can I have a cup of tea please?” “Sure, let me just write a script for that”.

Phil’s our marketing guy – As well as testing the limits of Jim’s nerves with ideas that can only be the product of a marketing troll’s gray matter, Phil takes care of the marketing and PR of Snowcrash Digital. Phil has a background in marketing & communication, and over the years specialized in the use of new media. In addition to his work at Snowcrash Digital Phil also runs his own marketing agency, and is a writer on the subjects of marketing and new media for the business advisory notes by publisher Indicator. Although Phil recently swore not to sell any more ice to Eskimos, we’d advise you to be careful around the arctic circle.
